Beauty in Shatters No. 2
My collection of broken crockery came in handy again. The aim of this series of mixed media project was to incorporate the things I found on the streets and the crockery I manage to broke at my kitchen into some wall-hangings. The first object was made with to use of broken crockery tea mug and some things I found on the streets of Madrid and Zaragoza during my time in Spain with my brother's family. Pebbles from the bank of river Ebro from Zaragoza, lost earring and 20 cents coin found on the path in Retiro, chestnust from the old trees in the El Escorial, plastic floral found somewhere behind the Pilar. All these things are glued to the round canvas painted by the acrylic paints. The second and third object are created from the old plastic bouquet I found about a year ago in front of the cemetery gate.
